The Facility The Boarder Barn

Team CEO Eventing is a 70 acre facility in the heart of Central Kentucky, just 10 minutes to dowtown Lexington, 1 mile from Georgetown KY, and 7 minutes to Midway, Kentucky. We are only two miles from the Kentucky Horse Park, home of the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games! The photo on right is a view of the Upper Barn. Our state of the art eventing facility is specifically designed for the avid event rider.

The Main Barn has 21 oversized 12'x14' stalls all with mats and fans. All stalls feature racetrack-style gates which allow the horses to watch the activity in the barn, and gives the stalls a nice, open feeling. There is an indoor wash rack with warm water, and an outdoor washrack. This barn features a boarder's area with 17 large private tack lockers, surrounding 4 grooming stalls. The Boarder's Area attaches to The Lounge, which is climate controlled and provides laundry and bathroom facilities. The Lounge also offers our clients with Wi-Fi internet access for the convenience of our clients. The Main Barn houses boarder's horses, lesson horses, and staff horses. The Sales Barn has 9 oversized 12'x16' stalls all with fans and mats. It includes two tack rooms, laundry facilities, and horse bathing areas with warm water.

All paddocks are fenced in black Kentucky 4-Board fencing, and we have seven automatic waterers and five run-in sheds. The staff lives on-site in the barn, to provide 24-hour care to our most precious assets, the horses.

Riding AmenitiesThe Dressage Arena

We have a wonderful 100 ft x 200 ft all weather outdoor arena, with terrific footing that holds up brilliantly even after a heavy rain. It is fenced for your security, and is built to the standards of the United States Dressage Federation. Team CEO owns two full sets of Show Jumping fences, one being custom built and one from Jumps 4 Joy. We also have a 20mx40m competition dressage arena complete with Judge's Booth (great to get the greenies accustomed to a judge!). We also enjoy our roundpen and custom variable speed equiciser.

In addition, we are extraordinarily proud of our Cross Country Course. We have jumps from Starter to Intermediate, This includes a bank complex, numerous ditches, multiple ditch & walls, multiple trakehners, and numerous tables and skinnies. We have a water complex in the process of being built! All fences have been built by Advanced Level event rider Megan Moore and the fabulous working students, which ensures that they are rider-friendly and designed to produce the best possible experience for your horse. We are thrilled to now have 70 acres of land to play on, all flat to gently rolling, from open meadows to woods, all for your enjoyment! We also offer a Steeplechase Track for training purposes.

Our support crew is simply world-class. Our farm veterinarian is the renowned Dr. Chris Newton, a specialist for world-renowned Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Sporthorses and Breeding. We are blessed to be located just a couple of miled from both Rood & Riddle and Hagyard Equine Institute, both world-class equine hospitals for the absolute best care of your best friend. Our farrier is the fabulous John Norris to drive in from out-of-state each week to take the absolute best care of our horses, custom designing a plan to suit each individual. BoardingBoarding at Team CEO

Boarding at Team CEO Eventing is for riders who seek to become not just clients, but part of the family. We love each and every horse that we care for. Our barn is a drama free zone where our boarders are family, and we look forward to their arrivals each and every day! We have a Head Trainer, Barn Manager, Working Students, and Stall Cleaners all on staff to serve your needs. Full care board at Team CEO includes AM and PM hay and grain, daily turnout (except in inclement weather), daily stall cleaning, feeding of supplements, trailer parking, and blanket changes.

--We work hard to maintain the fields and riings. With an agronomist living on the farm for three years overseeing its development, we were able to plan for the best fertilization and seeding possible for your horse. We drag both arenas with regularity, and the barns are swept daily. Water buckets are scrubbed once per week.

--Your horse is handled by horsemen, who knoow him well and know to watch for temperature changes, lost shoes, injuries, loss of appetite, or changes in behavior. Each boarder's contact information is laminated on each stall with your veterinary contact wishes, so you will be contacted immediately if any special attention is needed.

---Horsemanship and safety are a main prioriity in our lives. With a staff that lives on the farm 24-7, right in the barn, we have the added security of having them available at all hours, and able to easily hear if any commotion may be occuring in the Boarder Barn. The staff are all horse people, active eventers who we have had the joy of selecting just a few from hundreds of applications from across the country and the world. All horses on the farm stay current on our vaccination and worming protocols, to insure that the horses have the best health care possible. In addition, we are very lucky to be only 3 miles from Hagyards Equine Hospital and 5 miles from Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, two of the leading clinics in the country.

--One lesson per week is required by all of our boarders. If you are interested in boarding, please contact Megan Moore at megan@teamceoeventing.com

Training with Megan MooreSchooling with Team CEO

Megan Moore is the head trainer and co-owner of Team CEO Eventing. She has been eventing for 18 years and has competed successfully at the Advanced Level. She completed extensive working student positions with highly regarded FEI dressage rider Linda Strine in Folsom, LA, and international CCI**** riders Nathalie Bouckaert and Michael Pollard in Chatsworth, GA. In addition, she has had instruction from Advanced level event riders Ian Stark, Holly Hepp, John Williams, Pam Watts, Dorothy Crowell, Lucinda Green, and Phillip Dutton. Megan currently enjoys training with CCI**** eventing superstar Kim Severson and Grand Prix dressage rider Reese Koffler-Stanfield.

Megan successfully competed her "Never Stop Dreaming" at the Advanced Level. The pair completed the 2004 Radnor CCI** Long Format with a xc clear round. That same year, she helped to establish Team CEO Eventing in Georgetown KY. In 2005, Megan finished the year ranked 4th in the USEA Gold Cup Standings for the Advanced Level. In 2006, she trained and competed the AHHA Event Horse of the Year, Riverwatch. In 2007, she competed The Grasshopper, Spot Treatment, and Widespread Panic successfully at the FEI level. In 2007 at Hagyards Midsouth CCI*, Megan was the only rider to complete the CCI* with multiple horses. In 2008, Widespread Panic achieved success at the Advanced Level, and The Grasshopper achieved success at the Intermediate Level.

This led the pair off to a great start in 2009, placing 1st at Paul Frazier and 1st at River Glen! Megan has many, many students in eventing who are successfully competing from Starter to Intermediate level HT. In 2007, three of her students successfully completed their first CCI* with clean xc rounds finishing in the ribbons! All three were developed from the beginning with Team CEO Eventing! In 2009, Megan completed and impressive double, WINNING the USEA Area 8 Preliminary Championships aboard The Grasshopper, and then coming back a week later to win the USEA Area 8 Beg Novice Championships aboard her 5yo stallion Nightfall, leading from start to finish! Megan was the only rider at the 2009 Fair Hill CCI** to successfully complete aboard multiple horses. Both horses were started and trained here since they arrived as OTTB's, and both jumped around Fair Hill with clean XC rounds.
