The Facility
Team CEO Eventing is a 70 acre facility in the heart of Central Kentucky, just 10 minutes to dowtown Lexington, 1 mile from Georgetown KY, and 7 minutes to Midway, Kentucky. The photo on right is a view of the Upper Barn. Our state of the art eventing facility is specifically designed for the avid event rider.
Team CEO takes great pride in our stalls.... The stalls are painted white to encourage a bright atmosphere and enhance the natural light through each horse's window. We have twenty 12'x14' oversized stalls and nine 12'x16' stalls, all to allow the maximum comfort of our beloved partners. Every stall features rubber mats and a fan. In addition, each stall has a racetrack-style half door which allows the horse to hang their head into the aisle, preventing boredom and giving the stalls a nice, open feeling.
We are lucky to have on-site a certified Turfgrass Specialist who oversees the maintence of the pastures. He custom-designs a seed blend to provide your horses with the best for grazing. All paddocks are fenced in black Kentucky 4-Board fencing, and we have seven automatic waterers and five run-in sheds. For your security, our two Rottweilers guard the farm 24 hours a day and are better than any security system!
Riding Amenities
We have a wonderful 100 ft x 200 ft all weather outdoor arena, with terrific footing that holds up brilliantly even after a heavy rain. It is fenced for your security, and is built to the standards of the United States Dressage Federation. Team CEO owns two full sets of Show Jumping fences, one being custom built and one from Jumps 4 Joy. We also have a 20mx40m competition dressage arena complete with Judge's Booth (great to get the greenies accustomed to a judge!). We also enjoy our roundpen and custom variable speed equiciser.
In addition, we are extraordinarily proud of our Cross Country Course. We have jumps from Starter to Intermediate, This includes a bank complex, numerous ditches, multiple ditch & walls, multiple trakehners, and numerous tables and skinnies. We have a water complex in the process of being built! All fences have been built by Advanced Level event rider Megan Moore and the fabulous working students, which ensures that they are rider-friendly and designed to produce the best possible experience for your horse. We are thrilled to now have 70 acres of land to play on, all flat to gently rolling, from open meadows to woods, all for your enjoyment! We also offer a Steeplechase Track for training purposes.
Support Crew
Our support crew is simply world-class. Our farm veterinarian is the renowned Dr. Chris Newton, a specialist for world-renowned Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Sporthorses and Breeding. We are blessed to be located just a couple of miled from both Rood & Riddle and Hagyard Equine Institute, both world-class equine hospitals for the absolute best care of your best friend. Our farrier is the fabulous John Norris to drive in from out-of-state each week to take the absolute best care of our horses, custom designing a plan to suit each individual. He has shod for us for fifteen years, and we are absolutely thrilled at his work, his patience, and his excellence in the sporthorse world.
Working Student Program
The care on the farm is done completely by Working Students, to assure that the horses are taken care of by attentive, educated individuals who are highly familiar with horses. Each working student is a rider herself, so they have special appreciation for every horse on the farm. The Working Students live on the property, providing 24/7 service to our beloved equine friends. To learn more about the working student program, Click Here. Training with Megan Moore
Megan Moore is the head trainer and co-owner of Team CEO Eventing. She has been eventing for 18 years and has competed successfully at the Advanced Level. She completed extensive working student positions with highly regarded FEI dressage rider Linda Strine in Folsom, LA, and international CCI**** riders Nathalie Bouckaert and Michael Pollard in Chatsworth, GA. In addition, she has had instruction from Advanced level event riders Ian Stark, Holly Hepp, John Williams, Pam Watts, Dorothy Crowell, Lucinda Green, and Phillip Dutton. Megan currently enjoys training with CCI**** eventing superstar Kim Severson and Grand Prix dressage rider Reese Koffler-Stanfield.
