For the rider who wants to be seen and admired... This GORGEOUS connemara gelding is absolutely lovely. He is beautiful, with a gorgeous build, beautiful neck, and an amazing tail. Wasabi loves to event... He is a cross country superstar, and loves to jump. Water, ditches, banks, you name it and they are a blast on Wasabi! He is a perfect size... Sticks a pony, but solid enough to carry an adult amateur. His current rider is 5'7" and looks great on him. Such a nice size that he's comfortable, soft, easy to ride, and not intimidating. At his first horse trial, he stood all day tied to a horse trailer in 45 degree weather like champ, happily munching hay like an old pro. He was quiet in warmup and very easy going. He had a wonderful dressage test where he scored a 40.5 even with a rider error, so would have been in the 30's without his rider skipping a movement. :) He had a beautiful show jumping round at 2'3" even including flying changes, and picked up just 4 faults. Then he was even more impressive on cross country, never batting an eye at the jumps and cantering around in the most beautiful rhythm. He is very fancy and going to be incredibly promising. At just 4yo, he has the whoel world in front of him. He has shown in the hunters in everything from crossrails to 2', and has shown in the jumpers at 2'6" and 3'0". Wasabi is very quiet and easy at shows, and is well behaved in warmup.
He has the most terrific canter... He rides like a metronome. Always lands after fences in the same quiet, easy canter, not running or quick. He is light in the mouth and goes in a snaffle in all three phases. He loves to jump, and will jump just about anything, yet without rushing or pulling. Great confidence builder!!!!
