Hopper
Hopper has the most amazing story... We purchased him from the killer truck in the spring of 2006. He was labeled as "dangerous, unrideable, and aggressive" and the dealer wisely refused to sell him, fearing someone would be hurt. We begged and pleaded until he conceded, and the trilogy of Hopper began. He immediately began eventing and, despite the fact that he was mostly grouchy and hateful, he and Megan loved each other. He moved up to Training in June 2006, and we couldn't have been more thrilled. But then tragedy struck in a freak schooling accident, when he barely rubbed a cross country fence and a huge spike drove into his coronary band. It was heartbreaking, and explained that it would be career-ending. We spent the next 8 months recuperating him, doing every bit of experimental reasearch and struggling to find hope. This spring, he returned to competition against all of the odds! After a couple of great runs this spring, we moved him up to Prelim at May Daze... With a clear round! Then he moved up to Intermediate only 4 months later, with a fantastic clear jump round xc at Richland Park HT!

Hopper just completed his first CCI* at Hagyards Midsouth CCI, finishing 9th in the CCI* Open!! We are hoping for him to hit the eventing scene in the spring of 2008 at the Intermediate level.
