Well, Fair Hill is a distant memory for Randy and I.  It was such an exciting week... He is such a wonderful jumper, and I was really looking forward to a tough XC course!! But that wasn't meant to be... The scores were extra high on Thursday and Randy was a little fresh.  The combination of the two left us with a 77.0 in dressage (FEI scoring), which doesn't give us a qualifying score. After consulting with lots of officials, I decided I needed to save him to run another day.

Because I was injured last year, we didn't do a 3day last fall.  Sadly, that means his last 3day was Radnor in 2004.  To requalify for another CCI***, we're going to have to do another CCI**.  The organizers at Virginia have been kind enough to accept us into that event, so now we'll be heading to the Virginia CCI** on November 2-5. 

I'm sad that we didn't get the chance to run at Fair Hill, but I'm glad that Randy and I are still in one piece to run at VA.  Hopefully next week I'll have better news!  For now, we're both sound and ready to go.... We'll keep you posted!
